Let’s look at the list, shall we!

1: TP-LINK RE230

The RE230 is a budget-friendly dual-band plug-in WiFi extender that is also compatible with Spectrum modems. The device has a textured white surface that goes with practically any home decor. radio bands, signal intensity to the router, voltage, WPS button, and Ethernet (LAN port) operation are all indicated by LEDs on the extender’s front panel.

This device is an AC750 WiFi range extender that can deliver up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 433 Mbps on the 5GHz band. Although the signal booster has three internal antennae and can serve up to 12 devices at once, it does not enable MU-MIMO concurrent data streaming technology.

2: TP-Link AC2600

This is one of those plug-in WiFi extenders which aren’t always convenient but still worth using. With four antennae on top and three LED indicators on the front, this extender has a sleek modern style. It’s a dual-band extender with 2.4GHz and 5GHz power.

You will get around 1733 Mbps when the booster is set to 5Ghz power, and 800 Mbps when it’s set to 2Ghz power. For streaming or gaming, both these modes are accurate. You can use this booster to connect multiple devices at a time. You can watch your favorite series on Netflix while playing Apex Legends on your phone. The speed will be awesome and you won’t have to worry about buffering.

This extender resembles a little building. It has three antennae protruding from the back and can cover up to 2100 square feet. You will get a WiFi speed of up to 1900 Mbps. This bad boy has a tri-band frequency, including 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 5.8GHz bands. It’s capable of transmitting data at speeds of up to 550 Mbps. This may not be ideal but it’s sufficient for meeting common internet activities like playing online games or binge streaming. The speed can be ignored because its range is quite decent. With a coverage area of 1,750 square feet, the WiFi extender should be able to cover any dead zones you have. Since there are better options available, I have kept it last on the list.
